Around The World is a basketball shooting drill that enhances your ability to make shots within the 'key,' which is the semi circle at each end of the court. There are many variations of this game that include lay ups and free throws, and you can add them into the game if you wish - we are just giving you the base to work with!
MATERIALS:
METHOD:
1. Start by taking position at the bottom of the key near the boundary line. With the basketball, take a shot by aiming the ball at the top corner square of the net backboard.
- From this diagram, start in spot 1 and move around to 5.
2. If the shot clears, move onto the next spot.
3. If you miss a shot 3 times in a row from the same spot, you have to go back to the beginning.
4. The winner of the game is the player who can get all around the key first!
If you want to challenge yourself further, we suggest you take your game to the three point line and see if you can make the distance!
- The 'three point line' is the semi circle.
MATERIALS:
- 1x basketball
- a net and court to practice on
- your kicks; don't forget to wear your lucky sneakers!

Knock Out.
Knock Out requires two basketballs and two or more players.
You don't need to have shooting skills like Lebron or Shaq, this game is all about perseverance!
MATERIALS:
METHOD:
The players form a line at the free throw line with the first two receiving basketballs. The first player shoots, and if he or she misses, the second player can "knock out" the first player by making the basket before the first player is able to corral the rebound and put his or her ball in the basket. If the first player is able to make the shot before the second player, they pass it to the next player in line, who then tries to knock out the second player while the first player returns to the end of the line. The game goes on until all but one player is knocked out.
